Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Theory of Success?
I’m not 100% sure what you’re talking about. THE Theory insinuates that there is only 1 theory – 1 way to become successful. And that, my friends, is a lie. What worked for someone else will not work for you. You must find success through your own perspective. The Theory of Success is here to help facilitate that process for you. YOUR theory is different than mine. 🙂
What is the key to my success?
As previously mentioned – I don’t have YOUR personal Theory of Success. But if I had to choose a generic trait that catalyzes success, I would have to say self-awareness of mind and body. People that are self aware have a clear perception of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT Analysis). They have a clear understanding of their personality, beliefs, thoughts, motivation, and emotions. Self aware people also have a heightened sense of awareness of what’s happening around them. This includes the emotions and beliefs of other people – whether it be customers, employees, friends, or family. Self awareness is something you can constantly grow (like empathy and contentiousness) – so even if you’re good, there’s always room to get better. With that said, your key to success could be completely different. Contact us so we can help you figure it out!
How much does it cost to have you come and speak at my event?
That depends. How many people am I speaking to? Where am I speaking? How long am I speaking? What do you want me to speak about? Like consulting, speaking is adjusted to the customer and audience. Contact us with some details and we’ll come up with a solution.
Do you provide private coaching?
Yes and No. Will I ever call myself a life coach? Absolutely not. I find the term corny for multiple reasons (no offense to any ‘coaches’ out there). Have we, and will we, consult with clients personally and professionally? Of course we will. Our mission is to get you to your peak performance. Our workshops are based on helping individuals become the best version of themselves. Sometimes a 1 on 1 session is exactly what’s needed to create that breakthrough.
What books do you recommend?
You can read 1,000 articles online about this topic. Here’s the top 3 for someone on this site.
- Think and Grow Rich (Not a fan of the title, but this is the bible of entrepreneurship)
- You Can’t Teach a Kid to Ride a Bike at a Seminar (Sales based book – David Sandler has published many great books. RIP to a great man)
- The 10X Rule (Grant Cardone is raw and he’s real. This book is based on goal setting. 10X your business – 10X your life).
Does the company do anything else besides speaking and consulting?
Absolutely. We are A Peak Performance Agency. That means we’ll do whatever it takes to get your company where it needs to be. We have had clients come to us with some pretty crazy ideas. What we won’t do is anything we feel we can’t satisfy 100%. If it can’t be done by us, or any of our partners, we will gladly refer you to someone who can. Otherwise – put us to the test. You won’t be disappointed.
What would you recommend to someone just starting their own company?
First off – congratulations! Welcome to the big leagues. We always recommend that you go through the Business Model Canvas (or the lean business model canvas – there is a slight difference). Don’t write a business plan, as they expire the second you print them. The business model canvas is a constantly changing document that you can use as a map when you’re getting the ball rolling.
We also suggest checking out Steve Blank’s Customer Discovery model. Here is a list of customer development questions you should ask your target market before launching. You have to know what pain you’re solving for your customer before you go provide a solution. Talking to 100 customers will help you empathize with your target market.
What is one piece of advice I can implement today?
Step up to the plate. Take a swing. Stop sitting on the sidelines watching other people’s success stories. Go out there and create your own. There are too many people who sit there and talk about it. Get your but up to the plate and swing for the fences. Who care’s if you strike out? Failure is part of the road to success. If you don’t fail – you’re not trying hard enough. You can’t win the game if you don’t take a swing. Life is a game of averages. The more times you step up to the plate – the more home runs you’ll hit.
Can I partner with The Theory of Success?
